Area Lawyer to Present Seminar on Estate Planning

HOLYOKEAttorney Karen G. Jackson of Jackson & Torrone, P.C., will present a free seminar, “Taking Care of Business – Planning for the Future,” on Tuesday, March 18, from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at Cooley Dickinson Health Care, 30 Locust St., in Northampton.

The presentation is open to the public; a light dinner will be served.

During this interactive program, Jackson will explain the importance of each document in the core estate plan: the will, health care proxy, advance directive, HIPAA release, durable power of attorney and homestead.  She will include examples of real-life situations and answer questions.

Jackson, a lawyer since 1978, and her law partner, John Torrone, established their firm nine years ago. With over 45 years of combined experience, they provide legal services primarily in Estate Planning, Trusts and Wills, Elder Law, including Guardianships and Conservatorships and Medicaid Applications and Nursing Home Issues, Probate and Estate Administration and Real Estate Law.
