Glenmeadow Hosts Talk by Best-Selling Author

Alyson Richman will discuss her latest novel

LONGMEADOW – Glenmeadow Retirement will host best-selling author Alyson Richman on Tuesday, Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for a talk on her latest work of fiction, The Garden of Letters.

During the discussion, offered in partnership with the Springfield Jewish Community Center’s “Literatour” Book Festival, Richman will reveal her inspirations for the novel, which tells the story of a young musician swept into the Italian Renaissance during World War II and explores the power of the human spirit amid the terror of a war-torn world.

Richman is the bestselling author of The Mask Carver’s Son, The Rhythm of Memory, The Last Van Gogh and The Lost Wife, which was chosen as a Jewish Book Council selection and the Long Island Reads Pick in 2012.

Established in 1884, Glenmeadow is a nonprofit, accredited continuing care retirement community; it provides independent and assisted living at its campus at 24 Tabor Crossing in Longmeadow and expanded Glenmeadow at Home services throughout greater Springfield.
