Shelby is a graduate from UMass Amherst, where she pursued a bachelor’s degree in journalism, with a minor in French. She is now a reporter for the Greenfield Recorder. She has wanted to be a journalist since she was 15 and has doggedly absorbed information, trained in various internships and immersed herself in learning as much as possible about the field. Shelby is originally from a small town in Vermont called St. Albans, and when she’s not writing, she enjoys riding horses with the UMass Western Equestrian Team.
Shelby assists with select client projects and oversees the Beetle Press newsletter.
- Writes for multiple UMass publications, including the Massachusetts Daily Collegian, Amherst Wire and a new publication about food that she’s working to launch, Spoon University.
