Be Still and Happy
Sometimes, freeing your mind is the best thing you can do for your spirit—and your business.
As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, that’s a theory I’m applying to my work.
While it’s important to exceed clients’ expectations while you are also marketing yourself and thinking about such things as creating a content campaign, it is equally as important to know when it’s time to take a rest.
I have family coming Wednesday—my children and grandchildren, my mom and friends—and I plan to fully enjoy their company and not worry or think about current projects or marketing.
I’m going to rest, relax, and be with people I love. We will walk, play games, tell stories, and eat like animals. Nothing will be lost. In fact, when I get back in my desk chair on Monday, I will be rested and grateful. I’ll pick up where I left off.
I encourage you to spend the upcoming holiday doing things that make you happy. Because ultimately, a refreshed and energized businessperson is a successful businessperson.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Let’s be grateful for our health and the chance to be still and present with people we love.
