Free informational session to highlight convenient trips for travelers

LONGMEADOW – Glenmeadow Retirement is introducing a new travel program called Glenmeadow Getaways to help seniors and their families take advantage of getting away to discover new places.

It will hold the first of two free informational sessions about the program on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 10 a.m. at Glenmeadow, 24 Tabor Crossing. The second session will be held Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Wilbraham Public Library, 25 Crane Park Drive, Wilbraham.

So that program participants can get the most out of their travels, Glenmeadow has researched trips and tour providers to make traveling easy. The goal of Glenmeadow Getaways is to allow participants to focus on learning and having fun by taking the work and stress out of the travel experience.

“Glenmeadow has planned a series of day trips, long weekends, and interesting retreats that come with the convenience, service and quality that is expected of the not-for-profit organization,” said Tim Cotz, president and CEO. “We have found that the majority of our clientele enjoy all kinds of travel experiences, so providing convenient, quality offerings should be of service. We hope to gather additional input at the information sessions to incorporate into the program.”

Seating is limited, and registration is required; call (413) 567-7800 or email learning@glenmeadow.org. Visit glenmeadow.org/learning for more information.

Established in 1884, Glenmeadow is a nonprofit, accredited continuing care retirement community; it provides independent and assisted living at its campus at 24 Tabor Crossing in Longmeadow and expanded Glenmeadow at Home services throughout greater Springfield.
