Becka Becky Castro is calling for women across the United States to meet on sidewalks in front of their local post offices in support of Ford

NORTHAMPTON—Using word of mouth and social media, Northampton resident Becka Becky Castro is organizing women in the Valley and across the United States to come out tomorrow in support of Christine Blasey Ford as Ford testifies before the Senate.

Castro is calling for women to gather from noon to 1 p.m. on the sidewalk of their local post office to support Ford as she testifies against Supreme Court Nominee Brett Michael Kavanaugh before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

She suggests they wear black, gather peacefully on the sidewalk and share stories of sexual harassment, sexual misconduct and rape. “Or come listen to others,” Castro said.

“We can do this. Be part of making it happen,” added Castro, who is using the hashtags #CancelKavanaugh , #BelieveSurvivors and #WhyIDidn’tReport online to help raise awareness.

Castro is the owner of I Love Monday Mornings, a Northampton-based business through which she coaches entrepreneurs to increase profitability. She has a specialty in strategizing with lawyers and others who are committed to stopping rampant sexual harassment in the workplace.

For more information and further action steps that Castro is recommending, visit https://www.facebook.com/events/295553131258388/.
